Hi, I'm Renee

My love for woodturning started over 20 years ago...
My first experience with woodturning was at a workshop that involved creating a bowl from scrap wood. This sparked my interest as I was capable of taking something simple and making it functional and more aesthetically pleasing.

Since that experience, my work has greatly increased in range. I have created everything from spinning tops to bottle stoppers and even sea urchin shell Christmas ornaments. My favorite projects involve using scrap wood so that I can help eliminate the needless waste of such an amazing and versatile material.

My work philosophy:
I always aim to use the natural color of wood except in the cases of spinning tops. This ensures the natural beauty of the wood shines through without intervention.

I love all wood, but my favorites include bocote, African blackwood, and American walnut.
